Harry Kane’s latest ankle injury could see the striker sidelined for the rest of the season. Kane may not just miss the rest of Tottenham Hotspur’s run-in, but he could miss the UEFA Nations League semifinals, too. In Kane’s absence, manager Mauricio Pochettino will call upon forward Heung-min Son to fill the void.

It was Son’s goal against Manchester City that lifted Tottenham to victory in midweek. Now, the South Korean will be chosen to lead the line for Tottenham in both the Premier League and Champions League.
Heung-min Son a natural No. 9
Son is a brilliant alternative to Kane. The South Korea scores big goals and has long been a player deserving of more opportunities to play through the middle.
Pochettino does have Spanish target man Fernando Llorente to call on but Son is his best option to replace Kane as Spurs’ No. 9.
Son has tallied 12 goals and seven assists in 1,718 minutes of Premier League action. Strangely, Son hasn’t found himself in Tottenham’s team week in, week out.
Pochettino flip-flops between starting Son and bringing him off the bench. Rarely does Son ever play a full 90 minutes. Just five times has Son played a full 90 minutes this term in the league.
There is no guarantee that Pochettino will play Son a full 90 minutes with the second leg of the Champions League quarterfinal tie taking place next week. Regardless, Son is a perfect Fantasy Premier League selection for gameweek 34.
Son costs a mere £8.6 million and his low FPL transfer price has influenced 217,268 managers to buy the striker for the weekend.
Spurs play Huddersfield at their new stadium on Saturday. Tottenham are undefeated in two matches at the venue. Huddersfield have already been relegated while giving up 63 goals.
Son and company could run riot against the Terriers. Although it isn’t nice to kick a dog when it is down, Son should be able to score more FPL points than the three he tallied in gameweek 7.
