Liverpool are getting their money’s worth in goalkeeper Alisson Becker. The Brazilian shot-stopper has saved his team’s backside several times this season. If Liverpool can win the Premier League, his £66.9 million transfer fee will be well worth it.

Can Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker set new Premier League clean sheets record?
Alisson has kept 17 clean sheets this term, which is seven more than Liverpool’s Lorius Karius kept in all of last season. The 17 shut outs are currently three more than Manchester City’s Ederson.
Alisson has nine games left to play in the league and could break Petr Cech’s record of 24 clean sheets in a debut season.
The current Arsenal back-up set the shutout record during the 2004-05 season while playing with Chelsea. Alisson could still catch Pepe Reina’s club record of 20 clean sheets in a debut season.
Liverpool must still play Burnley, Fulham, Southampton, Cardiff City, and Huddersfield. Theoretically, Allison could shut each of those sides out breaking Reina’s mark.
The Reds also have Tottenham, Chelsea, Newcastle, and Wolverhampton Wanderers on their fixture list. Those matches should be more difficult for Liverpool, thus making a clean sheet harder to obtain.
Alisson’s impact on Fantasy Premier League
Alisson leads all goalkeepers in Fantasy Premier League with 143 points. In contrast, second place goalkeeper Ederson has 124.
The former Roma player will set FPL managers back £6m for gameweek 30 against Burnley. Just twice this season, Alisson has tallied 1 point in a gameweek.
He averages 4.9 points per game, which could be the difference between winning an FPL league and finishing second.
The goalkeeper will cost managers a decent amount. Most FPL managers shy away from spending too much on goalkeepers. Yet, Alisson’s production from the back could be better than most forwards or midfielders.
After 29 gameweeks, Alisson is 12th in FPL points. It is a phenomenal return for a goalkeeper. FPL managers may want to shed that ineffective striker this week and sign up Liverpool’s No. 13.
