Dublin v Laois, Sunday, 2pm, Parnell Park
Dublin are already assured of a quarter final place but they will want to continue their superb performances to date with a win over Eddie Brennan’s Laois side at Parnell Park on Sunday.

Dublin sit in joint second in the Division 1b standings, but they easily go top here if Waterford beat Galway. This would mean Mattie Kenny’s men would play the fourth placed team in Division 1A. No matter what happens they are still assured of a quarter final at the very least. Dublin have played four games, winning three and losing one. The wins came against Offaly, Carlow and Waterford, the loss coming to Galway at Pearse Stadium. Laois if they win would be guaranteed a quarter final place. However, they will be up against it in my opinion here. They have 3 points from four games, the win coming against Offaly and draw against Carlow, they lost out to Waterford and Galway.
Dublin manager Mattie Kenny may give some players on the fringes an opportunity here. He still will however look to players like Chris Crummy, Cian O’Callaghan and Eoghan O’Donnell in defence, while in midfield Rian McBride has been showing good form. Danny Sutcliffe, John Hetherton and Oisin O’Rourke will be key in attack. Laois manager Eddie Brennan will look to Matthew Whelan and Ryan Mullaney at full and centre back respectively. Charles Dwyer came on against Carlow so he will probably start here, in attack then players like Paddy Purcell, Mark Kavanagh, Willie Dunphy and Stephen Maher will be key.
Dublin are unbackable favourites at 1/14 here. Eddie Brennan’s Laois men are 15/2 to cause a massive shock, while the draw is 16/1. Dublin to win for me by 8 or 9 points.
