Declan Bonner’s men have played three games, winning two and losing one. The win against Clare on the opening weekend was impressive 0-16 to 0-13, they followed that up with a 1 point win over Andy McEntee’s Meath 1-12 to 0-14 at Ballybofey. However, they will not have been happy with the latest result and performance against Tipperary where they shipped three goals in a 3-09 to 0-13 defeat in Thurles. Fermanagh have not yet lost a game in the division, they have won one and drawn two from three games. Rory Gallagher is a very astute manager and knows how to get the best out players and he is certainly doing that. Fermanagh drew with both Cork and Tipperary, the win came against Kildare 0-8 to 0-06 in Enniskillen two weeks ago.
A look at the players now Declan Bonner has said he will not rush back the Gaoth Dobhair players. So in defence he will look to Eoghan Ban Gallagher and Ryan McHugh. Hugh McFadden and Michael Langan are likely to continue in midfield. In attack, Ciaran Thompson will be the key man as Murphy and McBrearty are not yet likely to feature, but this will be confirmed when we get the team news. Fermanagh will look to Ryan Lyons, Ryan Jones, Damian McCusker and Sean Quigley to provide scores and leadership if things get tough for them.
Not yet announced
Donegal are 1/4 and Fermanagh are 4/1 underdogs here. I expect the game to be tight though as Fermanagh have been involved in tight games so far. Fermanagh to cover the handicap of -4 but Donegal to win.
