Cork as previously mentioned have yet to win a game. They have drawn a game with Fermanagh but only managed to score 1-05 in 70 minutes of football. The two losses came at the hands of Kildare on home soil 1-10 to 0-10. They also suffered a very heavy defeat to Clare 3-13 to 1-10 two weeks ago, a better performances will be expected here. Meath sit on top of the standings in division 2 on points difference. They have played three games, winning two. The two wins have came against Tipperary 0-15 to 1-08 and Armagh 2-13 to 0-13. The only blip was against Donegal losing by 1-12 to 0-14. However, Andy McEntee will surely be delighted so far.
Looking at the teams, Cork have already named their side. In defence Kevin Flahive will start at full back, the half back line is inexperienced but Thomas Glancy, Kevin Crowley and Paul Walsh are all good footballers. Ian Maguire is in midfield, while in attack Paul Kerrigan returns an him and Ruairi Deane will be expected to get scores. Meath will look to James McEntee, Donal Keogan and Shane McEntee. In attack Michael Newman is a key scorer for them alongside Bryan McMahon and Darragh Campion.
