Watford’s Roberto Pereyra had been more miss than hit in recent gameweeks. After a brilliant gameweek 10 against Huddersfield in which he tallied 11 points, Pereyra went cold. However, his last three gameweeks have seen the South American average 6.3 points per match.

Watford’s Roberto Pereyra bounces back with big performance
Pereyra was fantastic against West Ham on Saturday. He tallied two assists as Watford held the Hammers scoreless. Just as impressive was Javi Gracia’s team winning away from Vicarage Road.
Pereyra’s two assists give him four for the season. However, all four have been tallied in the last three gameweeks. It looks like he is catching fire during the busy period of the season.
The Argentine hasn’t scored since gameweek 10 against Huddersfield. He has five goals in total this term and 83 Fantasy Premier League points. His FPL price maxed out at £6.4 million earlier this season, but it had slowly lowered to £6.2m for gameweek 18.
Pereyra has featured in all 18 of Watford’s games this season. It shows his durability. He averages 4.6 points per game. Watford’s second highest FPL scorer is Abdoulaye Doucoure with 69 points.
Watford play Chelsea next on Boxing Day. It would be a fixture most would expect the Hornets to lose. However, Chelsea’s recent loss to Leicester should remind FPL managers that they are fallible. Following their Chelsea encounter, Watford play Newcastle, Bournemouth, and Crystal Palace in consecutive gameweeks.
Should FPL managers look at Roberto Pereyra as the man to score points in the coming gameweeks. At just £6.2m, he is a great option. However, his lulls should worry managers, especially if FPL players are ready to drop Pereyra after one or two bad gameweeks.
Roberto Pereyra and his inconsistent form could hurt your FPL team.
