Andy Friend has named a strong looking starting 15 for his sides trip to Wales to take on the Ospreys in Brigeend on Friday night (8.05pm kick off).
The side will see Kieran Marmion return to scrum half and the 26 year old is just one of four players from the province named in Joe Schmidt’s autumn international series squad for November. Marmion picked up an injury against Ulster in the PRO 14 but will now seek game time as he looks to break into the Ireland team with Conor Murray absent due to injury.
In the backs Tiernan O’Halloran is named at full back, while Niyi Adeolokun and Cian Kelleher are named on the wings, Tom Farrell partners Bundee Aki in the centre. Marmion is partnered by Jack Carty at fly half. In the forwards, Denis Buckley, is joined by Tom McCartney and Finlay Bealham who has on Thursday signed a new deal the club Ultan Dillane is partnered by Quinn Roux, Sean O’Brien, Jarad Butler and Paul Boyle complete the pack.
Speaking ahead of the game Andy Friend said We have a few of our more experienced players coming back into the side which is a big boost to the squad,” He went on to say it is great to have Marmion return “Caolin Blade has done really well for us over the past few games, but it is great to have Kieran back as well. “He is a really important player for us and he is fit and rearing to go. We also have Bundee back in our midfield alongside Tom Farrell.
